Revolutionary Waterproofing

Drythane is a 100% Solids, two component Polyurethane Coating system that contains no solvents, noxious smells and is non-flammable. It has been formulated specifically as a high performance waterproofing membrane. Drythane provides lifelong protection to concrete and other masonry. Once coated, the surface is completely impervious to water. With Drythane, you can create cool green roofs of your dreams with gardens, vegetation, water bodies, swimming pools etc.

Applied as a thick film (1.50 – 2.00 mm), this premium, high performance product has an expected service life of more than 25 years.

Seamless Membrane & Easy to Apply

Liquid polyurethane applied as a seamless, monolithic membrane to a thickness of 1.50 – 2.00 mm. Simply mix two components, pour the mixture, and spread it using a paint roller to a specific thickness in one or two coats. A special damp-tolerant Polyurethane Primer will seal the concrete prior to application of the main coat thereby allowing application even in high humidity environments.

Fully Impermeable to Water

Drythane is completely impermeable to water and has very low water absorption in continuous immersion with a saturated weight gain of less than 0.60% as per Procedure 7.4 (Long Term Immersion) of ASTM D 570. Further, it is highly resistant to a wide variety of Acid, Alkali, Salts, etc. These unique properties allow it to be used for continuously damp or wet applications such as rooftop gardens, ponds, storage tanks, swimming pools etc.

Tough and Durable, Long Service Life

Standard Drythane is a very tough, durable, elastomeric membrane with a tensile strength of more than 17 N/mm², hardness of 65 ShoreD, tear of 54 N/mm and puncture resistance of 1500 N! As it cannot be damaged during normal use, you have no need for reinforcement or protection covering through masonry. Further, it resists degradation from sunlight (UV), rain, heat & cold weather. Our high performance membrane provides a long service life of more than 25 years.

Crack Spanning & Elastic Nature

Drythane are elastic membranes with industry leading crack bridging capacity ranging from 2.8 to 10.00mm! Products with higher elongation are more suited for flexible surfaces and cold climates and can be used as a stand alone coating or as a flexible base-coat underneath Drythane Standard. In case of the latter, the resulting system has a crack bridging of 8.00 mm while providing a very tough surface with outstanding water resistance - we call it the "Ultimate Combo".

High Adhesion

Drythane bonds strongly to the substrate. Thus, in pull off tests, the break takes place only within the concrete and not at the interface. Unlike sheet applied materials, liquid water cannot possibly intrude under our coating. Adhesion is usually an indicator of the service life — higher the adhesion, longer is the service life.

Optional Aliphatic Reflective Coat

Insulation from heat can be achieved by greening the roof (with drainboard, soil and grass) after applying our products! However, if a green roof is not desired but you still want to reduce indoor temperatures, you can simply apply an optional aliphatic, colour fast, and heat reflective top coat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Write out to our customer support team.

What are two-component coatings?

Our polyurethane coatings have two components, a resin and an activator, which are mixed together. When mixed, the two parts react together to form our coating just prior to application. This ensures maximum stability during storage as the reaction takes place just before application.

Why is the PIV Primer required?

Our PIV Primer is a special damp-tolerant Polyurethane Primer which seals the concrete prior to application of the main coat. It allows for application even in high humidity environments such as coastal or rain-laden areas.

How long does your waterproofing last?

Drythane has an expected service life of over 25 years. On average, our coating can last over 3-4 times the expected life of competing products. We also provide an optional reflective aliphatic coating, applied on top of the main coat, which can provide insulation for over 25 years!
